Be civil and friendly.

Disagree agreeably. Your opinion is just that: an opinion. There are as many ways to enjoy this site as there are members: respect that. Trolls (people who deliberately stir things up to get a rise out of people) are best ignored: it takes away their power and sends them back to the underbelly of the bridge.

Be helpful.

If someone needs help, point them in the right direction. We even have a new members' forum where newbies can ask for help and introduce themselves, but one-on-one coaching is always cool and makes friends.

Be safe.

You are 100% responsible for your own safety and that of any other people with you while out visiting landmarks and historical markers. Markeroni (Annwn Web Creations LLC) accepts no liability or responsibility for you whatsoever while you are out visiting landmarks. Avoid things like being in seedy areas at night (or alone in the day if you can help it), always carry suitable equipment, and take care. Don't take risks. It's not worth it.

Respect property.

Some historic markers are on, or near, private property. Be a nice guest and don't trample where you do not belong, make excessive noise, etc. Take home your litter, too. Let's not make anyone regret that there was ever a historical marker in Markerville, or anywhere else. Again, Markeroni (Annwn Web Creations LLC) accepts no responsibility or liability for any damage you may cause to property while out visiting landmarks.

Private property.

Some properties on the National Register or other local or state registers may be private residences. If you visit these properties, please do so from a distance and never disturb the residents. Under no circumstances should you ever go beyond the outer walls/through the gate - stay on the sidewalk/pavement.

Keep it clean.

Let's keep the content of the site PG13 please. Offensive posts will be removed forthwith.

No spamming or flooding.

No spam or flooding or other kinds of junky postings on this site, please. If you do, you won't be allowed to use the site again.

Commercial posting.

If you are thinking of making a post which in some way will advertise your business, venture or the like, or will in some way bring you money, please have the common courtesy to contact us first for permission. In some cases, we can work out mutually beneficial deals, but you will forgive us when we say that we prefer that Markeroni's financial interests are met before any other, and that we also prefer to keep financial material on the forums to a minimum.

Keep forums on-topic.

There's at least one forum for general conversation, so themed forums should be kept that way.
