What information about historical markers and landmarks to expect for Australian Capital Territory, USA

The Australian Capital Territory landmarks can easily be looked up at the links/databases above. Note that we do not include the Heritage Inventory - just the Register.

For the statewide list, the Australian Capital Territory Heritage Register, it is difficult to determine exact locations. We hope that in time, as members track them down, the locations will get added.

We have excluded Aboriginal sites because they are highly likely to be of a sensitive archaelogical nature. If you find an interpretive sign or site, however, please feel free to add it in using the forms in Journals. Likewise, if you find a site that we have missed, and it is tagged as "3" (registered), please request it individually.

We currently have no idea whether these sites have plaques; on the other hand, if you can find the sites, you can log them.

For the National Register and Commonwealth Registers, you will need to ensure that your search is set to a) historic sites only and b) Listed/Registered sites only. We can't include sites which are pending. We have input the National sites up to the middle of 2005.

Everything else, such as museums, monuments and random plaques, will need to be requested individually.
