What information about historical markers and landmarks to expect for Colorado, USA

When we first entered data for Colorado, there were both new and old historical markers: the system was in a state of flux, with old ones being replaced or new ones added. The 177 or so old ones have been input, but the new ones are still mostly pending. Some of the old ones have been replaced, and this trend will probably continue. We will need to revisit our data in the near future, as there is now a searchable database online.

The new marker program is administered by the Colorado Historical Society but there is currently no information online. You can request that these be added county by county, as we were given the information some time ago.

You can also request both state and national register properties one county at a time.

All other landmarks - museums, monuments, wildcards, etc. will need to be requested individually.
