What information about historical markers and landmarks to expect for New Jersey, USAWe believe that there is a historical marker program in New Jersey, and that it is currently somewhat dormant. We have no information about this program, though we believe that the markers do bear the state seal and are made in the classic curved-top shape. Should you find one, you will need to request it individually - please let us know if there is any kind of numbering on the marker.While New Jersey does have a state register, it appears that all officially designated listings are on the state and the national register, and so we do not count it (since it creates way too many duplicates). These landmarks, along with the National Register ones, can be requested one county at a time. All other landmarks should be requested individually unless you are able to find information about a particular town or county's landmark system online.
