What information about historical markers and landmarks to expect for New Mexico, USA

There is currently no information about New Mexico historical markers online, but we were kindly given a database of the markers. With certain caveats, we have input them all.

The caveats: the information given is not complete, and it is highly likely that many of the listed markers are missing. Several of the markers had duplicate entries, and where the duplicates seemed to be duplicates in the database as opposed to duplicates in real life (some marker titles appear two or more times in real life), we didn't include them. If you subsequently discover a marker that isn't on the list, just request it as an individual landmark. We have the original information and will try to cross-reference it.

Because many of these markers are on highways in the middle of nowhere, we entered the location, if we had it. Sometimes it is going to be a bit tricky to determine which marker is which. We did our best to make some distinction in the title: (I-25 Eastbound) for example. This is not an exact science. Do your best when trying to identify a marker. We will adjust our database if you can feed us fresh information.

We can, and will, enter state and national register data for you one county at a time.

All other information will need to be added one landmark at a time, although if you come across a local historical marker or historic landmark program, please do let us know!
