What information about historical markers and landmarks to expect for Utah, USATo date we have not found actual information about the Utah historical marker program. We were given a link to a searchable database, though it is incomplete; this serves as the basis of our data entry, so if you are in Utah please put in a request and we will enter whatever we can for your county. We are assuming that the markers put up by the State Historical Society are the "official" ones, though several organizations such as the Daughters of Utah Pioneers are also very active in the state.National Register of historic Places is input. All other landmarks will need to be added individually, though we would be grateful if you would first use the searchable database to find out if the information is in there - it will help us to avoid duplicates. Also, if you find a local landmark system that has information we can access, please let us know.
