What information about historical markers and landmarks to expect for Wyoming, USA

  • State historic markers: Request individually
  • National Register: Done
  • National Historic Sites: Done
  • All others: request individually

There is currently no information online about Wyoming historical markers. We have the guide book, but it isn't too clear on what types of monuments there are, but you can request one county at a time. The information will be refined and reclassified as landmarks are located and identified.

State markers or informational signs are big wooden hanging signs with cross-posts. They have "Wyoming" above them. We have done our best to distinguish between state and other markers, but if you find a sign in the state list that doesn't have "Wyoming" above it, it is probably a local or wildcard marker. Please let us know.

There are about 400 state historical markers in Wyoming. Since Markeroni started, the web site has stated that these are due to go online, but we haven't seen it yet. The guide books are available used (though you can also order one from the publisher via the historical society link).
